Apple iPhone 3GS

Apple iPhone 3GS
The wait is finally over. Apple introduces the new iPhone 3GS (S stands for Speed) today.
The iPhone 3GS now comes with twice the speed of the 3G. One of the anticipated features is video recording support at 30 FPS VGA mode. We will just have to assume that the next generation after this will support HD. We’ll take VGA for now.
You can also edit the video directly on the iPhone. iPhone 3GS also has improved 3MP camera.
Copy and Paste
Yes. We know. This should have been included a long time ago. Better late than never.
Tethering
Tethering allows you to use your iPhone as a bridge between your laptop and your carrier’s 3G Internet. There has been so many times I was in NYC where I need to get online with my laptop but all the immediate Wi-Fi hotspot are locked down or require subscriptions. Let’s just hope AT&T doesn’t take too much advantage of this demand.
Voice Memos
We’re not sure if this is exclusive to the iPhone 3GS or the OS 3.0 update but essentially you can record memos now on the iPhone. You can also do voice dialing by holding the home button and speaking the name of your contact.

One of the major new features of the iPhone 3GS is Voice Command. With VC, Apple finally gets to where Motorola’s RAZR line was five+ years ago. The big question I have is – does that only work for the iPhone 3GS, or will it work on the regular iPhone 3G with OS 3.0? There’s nothing hardware related to this feature as far as I can tell. We’ll have to wait until June 17th to see…
And AT&T, I just want you to know that you suck. The only reason I’m an AT&T customer is because of the iPhone and as soon as Verizon gets a credible competitor, I’m outta your network like a bat out of hell. It’s great to know that you are so grateful for the fans who pretty much accounted for most of your new subscriber growth in the past year that you want to screw us over when it comes to upgrading our iPhones. I hope your network crashes on a regular basis and I hope the Apple flameboys make your company an even bigger laughingstock on the Interwebs.
