Hi Christina - I think your SplashID product would suffer from the same issue that Keeper has, and it's not a problem with the apps themselves but a problem with the walled garden that Apple puts around its platform. So I still wouldn't be able to toggle back and forth between my password tracking app and Safari. It's a pain that will only become a bigger issue when the iPad comes out.

Sorry Milt - I only bought the SB1's. The Freedoms I tried out a couple years ago but I can't remember how they really sounded. Unfortunately, I am not an audiophile by any stretch - my primary concerns are around comfort and ease of use, plus how well they stay on during workouts. So even if I had both sets, I doubt you'd find my comparisons really helpful.

And apologies for the late response. I've been uber-busy at work and haven't have much time for the blog.

Hey check out SplashID from SplashData: http://www.splashdata.com/splashid/index.asp

Splashdata does have a desktop component to all its products for iPhone. They also support other platforms such as Android, WebOS, Blackberry, Palm OS, Series 60 and WinMob. SplashID syncs with Windows as well as Mac!

What kind of information? I don't want to repeat stuff you can read on Amazon. They do a better job of describing the product. But if you only read the manufacturing blurbs, you don't know how easy it is to actually set up the thing, which is, in my view, the more important part.

[...] Neo wrote an interesting post today onHere’s a quick excerptCoincidentally, I’d bought a new router about a year or so ago. One of the features it had was something called a WPS button, which supposedly would pass all necessary wireless settings to any WPS-equipped device. The C309 is one such device, … The HP iPrint will let you print pictures directly from your iPhone to any compatible HP printer. Launching the iPrint app, I was able to detect my printer and send a test print to it with zero setup. Tres cool. … [...]

Hi Jay - thanks for the review :)

It's worth mentioning that people needn't buy sports straps; we've found a pair of elastic bands (or even a sock with the end cut off) work better and are much cheaper. Of course, if you do go the DIY route make sure the phone is secure!

Cheers and feel free to email us with any other thoughts you have!

[...] At CES 2010, it seemed everyone had an ebook reader. They were practically giving them away with entry. Many of the online vids I’ve seen make me less than enthused. I guess I am just disappointed by their lack of speed. It shouldn’t be a case where I press a ‘next page’ key and have to wait for the screen to refresh. I know e-ink is slow due to the technology and its current state, but as those e-ink screens get bigger and bigger, the refresh lag gets more and more disturbing. The few 8.5″x11″ ebook readers I’ve seen really magnify the response rate issues, and will be one of the key issues preventing fast adoption. That and publishers’ refusal to change their paradigms. Did I mention that I saved the publishing industry?
OK so who's the chick? If you tell me that's your girlfriend, my new 2010 resolution will be to hang out with you at whatever party/gig/shindig you're going to be at.

It's interesting that 2010 is going to be your year of shutting down social media - I made the opposite resolution. I agree about dumping Facebook - it's a privacy hole and should be ignored. But LinkedIn can be useful if you know how to deal with it properly, and I've also resolved to increase my professional networking so I'm relying on LinkedIn for that. And I'm still trying to figure out if Twitter is worth it or not, but I'm giving myself 2010 to see if I can build some kind of Twitter following. If so, I'll continue, if not, I can dump it without missing it. We'll have to do some sort of review in 2011 to see how we did in our opposing resolutions!

Air purifiers are excellent devices because they essentially eliminate Dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and dust mite feces and many other ailments that trigger allergies in people. For this reason alone I feel that everyone should have one in their house…for the health benefits alone.

Things will change when they develop a robot that can do more than change light bulbs: I'm thinking in terms of a robot that can not only wash all the dishes, but also avoid short-circuiting from the dishwater. That there would be a fantastic invention: assuming it didn't go crazy and start chasing humans.

Can you simply put back wap.cingular when you want to use tethering under 3.0 or does changing the voicemail text to acds break the tethering once in for all?

I don t mind having to manually type wap.cingular everytime I need tethering...I just don t want to update to 3.1 since it breaks 3.1

I am already paying for a data plan I don t see why I should pay another $60+ per month to enable tethering.

I have actually been anticipating for this movie since I read the treatment last year. The story is great, first and foremost. And I AM a James Cameron fan if for nothing other than Aliens. He's been pushing movie making for decades. The Abyss is a case in point. And he's been working on Avatar since he made Titanic (so, like, 14 years or something). I have no doubt this movie will (or already has) revolutionized film making technology.

I've always wondered why someone didn't do that here in the U.S. Not the ramen, but the robot fast food. It's got to be cheaper in the long run than hiring grubby little teenagers, and you wouldn't have to worry about what those grubby little teens were doing to your food while they were preparing it.
