The world of portable USB flash drives just got a bit more water proof. You don’t have to worry about the rain and spilling your morning coffee over it. The submarine shaped USB drive adds to the fun factor. The K95 drives are available in 1GB and 2GB sizes. You can also add more joy to your life by selecting from four different colors: white, red, green and black. Unfortunately, it is still in design by Moscow’s Man Works Design. As always, we will let you know when it’s available for water fun.

GE releases water resistant camera

March 13th, 2009 No comments

When I’m lounging around my pool with my supermodel posse, I sometimes want to capture the moment. Unfortunately, my cameras don’t like the water too much, so my adventures are often left visually undocumented. But now, GE has released this new gadget to help me.

The GE G3WP is a fairly basic point-and-shoot with 4x optical zoom, 12 megapixels, and a 2.7″ LCD. The nifty part about it though is that it’s waterproof to 10 feet, which is perfect for the spring break pool party I’m planning.  Hmm…they all seem to be busy…

Smart Shield Washable Keyboard

February 19th, 2009 No comments

seal-shield-washable-keyboardYou really shouldn’t be eating and drinking around your computer, but chances are you do it anyway. And when crumbs and spills get all over your keyboard and mouse, you probably break out your trusty can of compressed air and freeze your fingertips off, only to find out you’ve only gotten rid of half of the crumbs and none of the other collected gunk.

Enter Seal Shield and the Meditech Magic Keyboard. Yes, magic. While it won’t perform coin tricks or anything, this wireless keyboard is washable and fully submersible. That’s right, people. It goes right in your dishwasher, and you don’t even have to remove the batteries first. (Seal Shield also makes a washable mouse, in case you’re interested.)

Both keyboard ($41.90) and mouse ($34.25) are available through Amazon.com.
